The horrific collision that transpired in Newport Beach on December 8th is a stark reminder of why we do what we do. Even during a stay-at-home order in a pandemic, when traffic should be considerably lighter, Henry Saldana-Mejia, 27, and his wife, Gabriela Andrade, 28, lost their lives in the blink of an eye — leaving their three young daughters orphaned. Grace Coleman, 22, had more than twice the legal blood-alcohol content when she struck the family’s vehicle and now faces five felony counts. Parents killed, lives destroyed and it all could’ve been prevented. Two wrongful deaths, just over two weeks before Christmas. Our love and prayers go out to the three girls and their extended family, and we hope they find the justice they so rightly deserve.
